Plante terrestre. Taille de 0 à 20 cm. 2 feuilles, ovales. Ovaire pédicellé. Fleurs de 5 à 25, violettes, vertes. Sépale dorsal concave, ovale, à apex obtus. Sépales latéraux ovales. Pétales oblongs, à apex obtus. Labelle bilobé, linéaire. Biotopes : marais, sphaignes.
