Description sommaire

Plante terrestre. Taille de 20 à 70 cm. Tige pubescente. Feuilles de 4 à 10, de 70-170 × 30-100 mm, ovales, apex acuminé, papyracées. Bractées plus longues que l'ovaire. Ovaire ovale, pédicellé. Fleurs de 0 à 50, à périanthe étalé, violettes, vertes. Sépale dorsal ovale, à apex acuminé, de 8-12 × 5-6 mm. Sépales latéraux ovales, à apex acuminé, de 8-15 × 5-6 mm. Pétales à apex acuminé, de 7-11 × 4-5 mm. Labelle avec cupule ou hypochile, avec languette ou épichile. Chromosomes : 2n=36,38,40,44. Biotopes : bois. Type de sol : argileux, calcaire, crétacé, limoneux, loess, marnes, sable.
